Eagles Continue Community Efforts

WINDSOR, CO – The Eagles would like to thank the best fans in the Central Hockey League by having a "Meet the Eagles" fan appreciation night at the First National Bank Exhibition Hall at The Ranch on September 30, 2004 at 5:30 pm. The evening will be highlighted by the first public viewing of the Eagles 2003-04 highlight video.

This is the first event where fans can meet their 2004-05 Colorado Eagles. There is a $5.00 per person donation at the door, with all entrance proceeds going to northern Colorado youth non-profit organizations. Doors will open at 5:30, at which point fans can enjoy complimentary food courtesy of Johnny Carino's, beverages courtesy of Budweiser, and can sign-up for door prizes including Colorado Eagles inaugural season memorabilia.

Head Coach Chris Stewart and General Manager Ralph Backstrom will announce and introduce the four veteran players that will guide the Eagles in their quest for the President's Cup. In addition, fans will get the opportunity to meet the 2004-05 Pioneer Press Eagles Chicks and the Eagles mascot, Slapshot. Also included in the night's festivities will be the season highlight video from the Eagles inaugural year in which they claimed the Northwest Division title and broke the record for most points accumulated by an expansion team. The Eagles players will also be signing autographs and taking pictures with fans. Eagles merchandise and group tickets for the upcoming season will be available throughout the evening. The festivities will be capped off with live music and dancing.

October 9, 2004 – Best of the West Dinner

The Colorado Eagles Foundation and the United Way have teamed up for their 2nd annual benefit event entitled "Best of the West Dinner" on October 9, 2004. Fans will enjoy a night of dinner and dancing with their favorite Colorado Eagles players and give back to northern Colorado through this exquisite benefit for the United Way. The dinner will be located at the First National Bank Exhibition Hall at The Ranch, and will begin with cocktails at 6:00 pm. The cost is $50 per person and all moneys raised will go to northern Colorado youth non-profit organizations. In 2003, with approximately 450 people in attendance, the event raised over $35,000 from the live auction and the dinner. Auction items will include: autographed Eagles memorabilia, a behind-the-scenes night at an Eagles game, weekend getaways, golf outings and more.
