Eagles Celebrate Grand Opening of Inspiration Playground

On Saturday October 27, Spring Canyon Community Park -- the home of Inspiration Playground -- will be holding its Grand Opening. The playground is a universally-accessible play area for children of all abilities and ages and is the first of its kind in Colorado.

In 2003, the Colorado Eagles Foundation, a component fund of the Community Foundation of Northern Colorado, pledged to donate a total of $250,000 to the building of Inspiration Playground in Fort Collins. Through the help of Hunter's Dream for a Cure, Water Valley and the Eagles' season tickets holders, sponsors and investors, the Eagles Foundation has reached their goal of $250,000.

The Colorado Eagles would like to invite everyone out to the Grand Opening of this one-of-a-kind playground on Saturday, October 27 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. There will be a ribbon cutting ceremony that will take place at 11 a.m. to officially open the park and playground. Also, Slapshot, the Pioneer Press Eagles Chicks and Colorado Eagles players will be on hand signing autographs from 10-noon. In addition, there will be live music, free food, a bike library, storytelling, a balloon artist and fun for the whole family.

Where: West end of Horsetooth Road and the south end of Overland Trail Road in Fort Collins
