Colorado Eagles News Release
LOVELAND, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles will be helping to supply food and other daily necessities to families in need through the House of Neighborly Service in accordance with the Loveland Reporter-Herald's annual Have a Heart Food Drive. Fans are encouraged to take part in this great cause by dropping off food and other items as they enter the Budweiser Events Center on Saturday, December 8.
The House of Neighborly Service is currently in desperate need of non-perishable foods, toiletries, blankets and baby items including diapers and formula. A van will be available in front of the arena on Reporter-Herald night, and monetary contributions can also be made to House of Neighborly Service, 565 North Cleveland Ave. Loveland, CO 80537.
People often think of giving to food banks around the holidays, but people going hungry is a year-round problem. The Loveland Reporter-Herald sponsors the annual Have a Heart Food Drive, with collections efforts benefiting the House of Neighborly Service. The Drive is a year-round effort to make sure the House of Neighborly Service can continue to help families in need.
In addition to the Have a Heart Food Drive, the Eagles are teaming up with the US Marines and Toys for Tots both games this weekend. On December 7 and 8, fans can bring new toys in their original packaging or a cash donation and drop them off with the Marines upon entrance. All the toys will then be distributed by the Marines into northern Colorado communities in an effort to help unfortunate children have a brighter holiday season.
