Eagles, Altitude Sports & Entertainment Extend Contract

DENVER, Colo. - The Colorado Eagles and Altitude Sports & Entertainment announced today that the two companies have signed a multi-year contract extension, making Altitude the television home of Eagles ECHL hockey through the 2012-13 season. The Denver-based network has broadcast 45 Eagles games over the past seven seasons.

During the upcoming regular season, Altitude will air the Eagles' annual Military Appreciation Night game (scheduled for Wednesday, Nov. 9) in which season ticket holders and sponsors graciously donate their tickets to military members and their families. Kevin McGlue will handle play-by-play duties for the game, with Mark Rycroft as color commentator and Maya Starks as ice-side reporter. Marc Moser and Ryan Bach will handle the radio broadcast on 107.9 The Bear.

Additional broadcast dates will be agreed upon later in the season, including potential dates during the ECHL's Kelly Cup playoffs; seven of the eight Western Conference teams will qualify for the playoffs this year.

The Eagles will open their first preseason camp in the ECHL this Friday, with the regular season starting on Friday, Oct. 14. Colorado's home-opener will take place on Friday, Oct. 21.
