Dynamo Play Portland Timbers Tuesday Night at BBVA Compass Stadium

HOUSTON, TX (Monday, May 14, 2012) - Following a successful grand opening of BBVA Compass Stadium, the Houston Dynamo will return to the pitch Tuesday night for a game against the Portland Timbers, presented by Conn's. The first night match at BBVA Compass Stadium will kick off at 7:30 p.m.

The Dynamo are coming off Saturday's 1-0 win over D.C. United in the grand opening of BBVA Compass Stadium. More than 22,000 fans were on hand as Brad Davis' curling shot in the 67th-minute beat United goalkeeper Bill Hamid to give the home side the victory. With the win, the Dynamo sit in seventh place in the Eastern Conference with a 3-3-2 record (11 points).

The Portland Timbers last played on May 5, a scoreless draw against the Columbus Crew. The Timbers are 2-5-2 (8 points) and sit in ninth place in the Western Conference. Portland is led by Akron product Darlington Nagbe and Scottish designated player Kris Boyd who have each scored three goals on the season.
