
Dynamo Defender Daniel Steres Named to MLSSoccer.com's Team of the Matchday

HOUSTON - Houston Dynamo FC defender Daniel Steres was named to the MLSSoccer.com Team of Matchday for Matchday 9, the league announced today.
Steres played a key role in Houston securing three points against Inter Miami at Shell Energy Stadium on Saturday and joins forward Amine Bassi (Matchday 7), defender Franco Escobar (Matchday 7), midfielder Héctor Herrera (Matchday 4) and midfielder Artur (Matchday 5) as Dynamo players named to the team this season.
The Dynamo made history in the match, becoming the first team in league history to open the season with four consecutive shutout victories at home. Steres scored his first goal of the season, placing the shot at the far post following a pass from forward Corey Baird inside the box in the 72nd minute to secure the 1-0 victory and earn Man of the Match honors.
Defensively, Steres won possession three times, won four duels and one aerial duel, while totaling two clearances and forcing one interception. The defender has started all six of his appearances this season, totaling 540 minutes.
