
Dust Devils Shut out Indians

Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils (14-14) blanked the Spokane Indians (15-13) on Friday night 7-0 at Gesa Stadium. The shutout is the second of the season for Tri-City.
The Dust Devils impressed both on the mound and at the plate in the balanced victory. Six of Tri-City's seven runs came from clutch two-out base hits. Matthew Acosta drove in three runs for the Dust Devils and finished the night with three hits. Jonny Homza and Jordy Barley also had multi-hit games. Cullen Dana, Jason Blanchard, Deacon Medders and Deivy Mendez combined to keep the Indians scoreless. Blanchard tossed three scoreless innings in relief to pick up the first win of his professional career.

Left-hander Ethan Elliot will start the rubber match of the three-game series on Saturday night. Spokane will counter with right-hander Ricky Vanasco.
