
Dust Devils Blanked by Hawks

Tri-City Dust Devils News Release
The Tri-City Dust Devils lost to the Boise Hawks 4-0 Thursday night at Gesa Stadium. The Dust Devils (7-8 Second Half) (29-24 Overall) got shut out for just the third time this year. With the win the Hawks (4-11 Second Half) (18-35 Overall) snapped an eight game losing streak.
Jose Carlos Urena had two hits for Tri-City. A.J. Kennedy had two hits as well.
Kevin Padlo had a solo home run for the Hawks. Former Dust Devil Marcos Derkes had an RBI triple and a stolen base for Boise. Tyler Massey, another former Dust Devil, had a triple as well. Scott Burcham had a double in the game. Luis Castro drove in a run on the night.
Tri-City starting pitcher Angel Mejia (2-3) received the loss. Mejia pitched five innings, struck out four batters, and gave up two runs on five hits.
Starting pitcher Javier Palacios (3-2) pitched five innings in the win for the Hawks. Palacios had three strikeouts and gave up two hits in his outing.
The Dust Devils and Hawks will play the third game of their five game series Friday night at Gesa Stadium. It will be $1 Family Feast Night where all hot dogs, bags of chips, ice cream sandwiches and 12 oz. Coca-Cola products are $1 all night long thanks to Co-Energy! It is also Jersey Auction Night, where the Dust Devils will be wearing 1978 San Diego Padres-inspired jerseys that will be auctioned off during the game thanks to Arbor Healthcare for Women.
