DURHAM, NC - The Durham Bulls completed the three-game sweep of the Buffalo Bisons Thursday morning, earning a 4-2 win at the DBAP for the team's fourth straight victory.
Durham (17-11), which has now won five straight series, scored the game's first run in the top of the first inning. Taylor Motter, Vince Belnome and Mikie Mahtook all reached to lead off the game, before Motter came around to score on a wild pitch for a 1-0 advantage. Durham capped the contest's scoring in the sixth, as Alexi Casilla and Lee tallied back-to-back singles to start the frame, before Casilla later scored on a sacrifice fly from Motter for a 4-2 lead.
Southpaw Everett Teaford (2-1) earned the victory, allowing two runs on just three hits over five innings while striking out four. Jhan Mariñez tossed 2 1/3 scoreless out of the bullpen, while lefty Jordan Norberto recorded a pair of outs in the eighth. In the ninth inning, Ronald Belisario earned his fifth save in as many chances with a perfect frame. Todd Redmond (0-1) was the loser for the Bisons, allowing two runs on five hits over 4 1/3 innings of relief.
