LOVES PARK, Ill. - Jason James singled in the tying and go-ahead runs and Brett Durand earned his 10th win of the season on Friday as the RiverHawks rallied late to beat Windy City, 3-2.

Durand (10-6) struck out eight over eight innings. He gave up two runs on nine hits. Durand and Kyle Wright (10-5), Saturday's scheduled starter, give the RiverHawks a pair of 10-game winners for the first time in the team's eight-year history.

The RiverHawks rallied in the seventh inning from a 2-1 deficit. Ricky Meinhold walked Jono Brooks and Caleb Fields. Doug Sanders sacrificed to advance the runners. James bounced a single to right field to drive in both runners and knock out starter Ricky Meinhold (4-3).

Caleb Fields hit his seventh home run of the year, his fourth in four games, in the first inning for Rockford. Robert Perry led off the Windy City fourth inning with a home run.

The season-ending series continues at 6:05 p.m. Saturday. The first 1,000 receive a RiverHawks long-sleeve T-shirt, courtesy of Axberg Heating.
