Dupaco Cowbell Cup Kicks off Tomorrow

DUBUQUE, Iowa - The Dupaco Cowbell Cup is up for grabs once again and the first set of games counting towards the Cup will begin this weekend when Dubuque faces off against Waterloo. Every year, the Fighting Saints, Black Hawks and Cedar Rapids RoughRiders compete during the regular season for the Dupaco Cowbell Cup. The Cup is awarded to the team with the best record between the three teams during their respective season series.

This season, due to an uneven amount of regular season games between the three teams, select games will not count towards the Cup. The games that don't count toward the Cowbell Cup are: October 6th (Cedar Rapids at Dubuque), October 17th (Dubuque at Cedar Rapids), November 22nd (Cedar Rapids at Waterloo), February 1st (Dubuque at Cedar Rapids). The Saints and the Blackhawks have each won the Dupaco Cowbell Cup three times. Dupaco has been the title sponsor of the Cowbell Cup since 2015-16.

During the season, each team will play six home games contributing to the Cup, with three against each rival. The Cowbell Cup will begin and end with two game sets between the Fighting Saints and the Waterloo Blackhawks. For the complete Cowbell Cup schedule for this season, see below:
