DUNEDIN, FL - The Dunedin Blue Jays (51-63, 19-25) five-game winning streak was snapped by the Daytona Tortugas (64-49, 27-16) in the middle game of the two club's three-game set by an 8-0 final Tuesday night.

Daytona jumped out in front early, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning. Taylor Sparks doubled for the 19th time this season scoring two on the play.

Conor Fisk made his Advanced-A debut for the D-Jays and suffered the loss, but allowed just one hit through the first four innings. After surrendering the two first-inning runs, Fisk settled in to toss three-consecutive scoreless frames.

The Tortugas opened the game up in the fifth with four runs. Taylor Sparks highlighted the scoring with a two-run homer.

Griffin Murphy made his first appearance with Dunedin in 2015 and was spectacular in the process. Murphy retired all six batters that he faced and struck out one. Brady Dragmire finished the game for the Jays, striking out four hitters over two innings and allowing two runs, one earned.

Daytona took a no-hit bid into the seventh inning. Nick Travieso began the contest with five not-hit frames and Seth Varner added another after Travieso's departure. The D-Jays finally broke through in the seventh on back-to-back singles by Mitch Nay and Derrick Loveless. Dunedin would load the bases but were unable to score.

These two clubs will match up one more time for the homestand finale tomorrow, Wednesday, August 12 at 6:30PM. Sean Reid-Foley will get the starting nod for the Jays against Jackson Stephens of the Tortugas in the rubber match.
