July 15, 2011 - Northwoods League (Northwoods)
Brainerd Lakes Area Lunkers News Release

DULUTH - The Lunkers offense struggled on Friday night as they dropped both games of a doubleheader to the Duluth Huskies at Wade Stadium, falling in game one 1-0 and dropping game two 4-1. Andrew Dixon was the hero on the night for the Huskies. His walk-off single in game one gave the Huskies a 1-0 victory. And in game two, he brought home the first two runs of the game with a single, and then scored as well.

In game one, Jimmy O'Neill got the win for the Huskies. He was very strong, holding the Lunkers scoreless through seven innings. Charlie Henderson pitched well in his six innings of work. Shea Lukes took the loss in game one.

In game two, Tyler King got the win for the Huskies. He went five and two-thirds giving up only one run. Casey Roche took the loss for the Lunkers, giving up four runs in his first start for the Lunkers this season. Sergio Pita got the save for Duluth.

The only run for the Lunkers on the evening came in the Bottom of the 4th of game two, as a Jon Crist single drove in Dan Olinger.

The Lunkers and Huskies are back in action in another doubleheader at Wade Stadium on Saturday. First pitch is set for 5:05 in game one, with Kye Winter getting the start for the Lunkers against Austin Lubinksy for Duluth.
