Dugger Propels Jacksonville to 4-0 Win

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Jumbo Shrimp starter Robert Dugger fired seven scoreless innings on Saturday to leave Jacksonville to a 4-0 triumph over the Montgomery Biscuits in front of 6,437 fans at the Baseball Crowd of Jacksonville. Fans enjoyed Cross The Ditch Night and Saturday Night Fireworks presented by 121 Financial and First Watch.

Dugger (3-3) scattered four hits and a pair of walks in his seven frames. The right-hander struck out five to earn the win for Jacksonville (15-28).

The game was scoreless into the fifth inning. With two outs, John Silviano reached on catcher's interference. Rodrigo Vigil singled to put runners on first and second. Montgomery (27-15) starter Riley O'Brien (1-2) then served up an RBI single to Anfernee Seymour and a two-run double to Magneuris Sierra to put the Jumbo Shrimp up 3-0.

The Jumbo Shrimp mounted another two-out rally in the sixth. Joe Dunand singled with two outs and Bryson Brigman followed with an RBI double to widen the margin to 4-0.

Jeff Kinley and Brett Graves each turned in a scoreless outing of relief in the win.

Saturday's winning raffle number of 1526129011 won a prize of $354.

Jacksonville hosts Montgomery at 3:05 p.m. on Sunday from the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville. RHP Sixto Sanchez (0-0, 0.00 ERA) makes the start for the Jumbo Shrimp against Biscuits RHP Sam McWilliams (2-1, 3.49 ERA). Gates open at 2 p.m. on Sunday for a Baptist Health Sunday Family FUNday. Families are welcome to play catch on the field before the game, plus Jumbo Shrimp players will be signing autographs. Each Sunday also features free face painting, balloon animals and popular kids show and movie characters roaming the park. Anna and Elsa will be around on Sunday at the Baseball Grounds for Princess Day, and after the game, kids 12 and under can run the bases. Fans are also welcome to participate in the Bowden Eye and Associates Character Series for a special meet-and-greet with Ariel and Belle.
