
Ducks sink Admirals 3-1; take 3-2 series lead

CINCINNATI, Ohio -- Tony Martensson had a goal and an assist and Ilya Bryzgalov made 36 saves to lead the Cincinnati Mighty Ducks to a 3-1 victory over the top-seeded Milwaukee Admirals and a three games to two lead in the West Division semifinals Wednesday at Cincinnati Gardens.
Corey Perry, a first-round pick by Anaheim last June, scored what proved to be the winning goal in his professional debut with a power-play tally 13:58 into the second period.
Casey Hankinson also scored and Chris Armstrong added a pair of assists for the Ducks, who were outshot 37-22, including 30-15 over the final two periods.
Darren Haydar netted his fourth goal of the playoffs in the second period for Milwaukee, which went 0-for-4 on the power-play.
Wade Flaherty, a veteran of 120 NHL games, finished with 19 saves in the loss for the Admirals, who will host Game Six Friday at 8:00 p.m. at the Bradley Center.
