Long Island Ducks News Release

York, Pa.- The Long Island Ducks defeated the York Revolution 8-2 on Tuesday night in the second game of a four-game series at PeoplesBank Park.

The Ducks got to work right away with two runs in the first inning on a sacrifice fly from Marc Krauss and an RBI single from Angelo Songco. Back-to-back wo-out RBI singles by Nolan Reimold and Krauss in the second off Revolution starter Frank Gailey doubled the lead to 4-0.

York got on the scoreboard in the bottom of the second against Ducks starter Rafael Perez on a sac fly off the bat of Ryan Dent and an RBI single from Derrick Robinson. However, single runs for Long Island in the third and fourth pushed the lead to 6-2. A solo home run to right by Songco and a two-out RBI single from Krauss did the damage.

Two more runs in the sixth rounded out the scoring for the Ducks. Fehlandt Lentini came home on a wild pitch from Jarret Martin, and Delta Cleary Jr. scored on an RBI fielder's choice from Cody Puckett.

Perez (1-0) earned the win with seven innings of two-run ball, yielding six hits and three walks while striking out four.

Gailey (2-1) took the loss, surrendering six runs (four earned) on nine hits and a walk over four innings with five strikeouts. Zac Treece threw two perfect innings in relief, striking out two to secure the win.
