(Central Islip, NY, April 15, 2002) - Long Island Ducks team officials announced today the hiring of Brad Keith as head groundskeeper and Jami Dock as client services and merchandise manager.

Brad joins the Ducks after spending the past seven seasons with the Ottawa Lynx, the Triple-A affiliate of the Montreal Expos, including the last six as head groundskeeper. With Ottawa, he headed up an award winning grounds crew that received the 1999 and 2000 Beam Clay Award for Outstanding Field in the Minor Leagues. He was also part of the International League's Grounds Crew of the Year in 1995, and was the assistant head groundskeeper for the Expos during their 1996 spring training in Jupiter, Fla.

The Nepean, Ontario native also has a knack for designing distinctive grass patterns. Some of his work has been published in the book Picture Perfect: Mowing Techniques for Lawns, Landscapes, and Sports by Boston Red Sox head groundskeeper David Mellor.

Jami joins the Ducks after three successful seasons with the Midwest League's West Michigan Whitecaps, the Single-A affiliate of the Detroit Tigers. With the Whitecaps, she served as the Promotions and Sales Coordinator where some of her responsibilities included coordinating the on-field promotions, directing team fantasy camps, selling sponsorship opportunities, and ordering all premium items for the team.

As client services and merchandise manager, the Stevensville, Mich. native will oversee the execution of sponsorships as well as manage The Waddle In Shop, including the purchasing of all Ducks merchandise and premium giveaway items.

"We are thrilled to add Brad and Jami to our staff as we gear up for the upcoming season," says Matt O'Brien, general manager, Long Island Ducks. "Both come from excellent organizations and excelled in the departments they worked in."

The Long Island Ducks are a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball. Their home games are played at Citibank Park, located in Central Islip, NY.
