
Dubrule Reaches Three Times in Washington's Rubber-Game Loss

WASHINGTON, PA - The Wild Things dropped the final game of the series against Équipe Québec by a very close score of 2-1.
The visitors got on the board early in the top of the first inning. David Glaude scored on a wild pitch. The Wild Things also scored early in the bottom in the first inning. Recent acquisition Scotty Dubrule grounded out to second base bringing in Nick Ward to even the game up at one a piece.
That tie would remain until the top of the fourth inning. Quebec catcher Jeffry Parra led off the inning with a double. He would eventually score on an error by Wild Things catcher Trevor Casanova after Parra stole third base and the throw got into left, giving Quebec a 2-1 lead.
Équipe Québec starting pitcher Codie Paiva pitched a complete game in the win and allowed just four hits and the one run. He fanend a season-high eight batters.
For Washington, Scotty Dubrule reached three times and scored his second multi-hit game since being activated Tuesday.
Washington will return to action tomorrow night in New York where they will be facing the New York Boulders. Game one of tomorrow's doubleheader will begin at 5:05 p.m.
