
Drive Loses to the Crawdads in Extra Innings

Greenville, SC - The Greenville Drive lost their first game of the series against the Hickory Crawdads after the tenth inning with a score of 6-3.
Cody Freeman from Hickory grounded out allowing Jayce Easley to score, Ceddanne Rafaela answered with a homerun to conclude the first inning.
Following a slow second inning, Luisangel Acuna from Hickory picked things up with a homerun to right field in the third.
Rafaela came back out to hit a triple in the fourth and thanks to Alex Binelas' sacrifice fly ball, Rafaela was able to come home.
At the top of the fifth, Tyler McDonough had a nice save when Evan Carter from Hickory hit one to left field.
Gilberto Jimenez broke the tied score after he hit one over the Green Monster in the bottom of the seventh. After a no scoring eighth inning, Keyber Rodriguez from Hickory hit a single allowing Angel Aponte to run home to level the score again.
A tenth inning was needed after a tied score of 3-3 to end the ninth. Hickory scored three runs which put them in the lead and ultimately won them the game.
The series continues tomorrow in Greenville at 7:05.
