
Drillers Take Game 3, 7-1

TULSA, Okla. - Cam Gallagher tabbed a run-scoring ground-out in the top of the seventh inning off reliever, Chris Anderson, to pull the visiting Naturals within a 2-1 deficit; but Tulsa bounced right back in the home half of the inning by putting up a five-run frame en route to a 7-1 defeat of Northwest Arkansas Tuesday night at ONEOK Field.
Northwest Arkansas (43-52/14-11) falls to a half-game back of the Drillers (51-42/14-10) in the Second Half North Division standings and look to split the four-game series on Wednesday night in the finale from Tulsa.
Right-hander, Jake Junis (9-5, 3.03) was denied in his pursuit to become the first 10-game winner in the Texas League. The Rock Falls, Ill. native surrendered five runs - two of which crossed following his departure in the seventh inning - on nine hits and struck out four over 6.1 innings of work.
Reliever, Reid Redman, entered with runners at the corners and one out in the 7th inning and allowed both me to score, breaking the game wide-open for Tulsa in the five-run seventh inning.
Ryan O'Hearn led the offense with his second straight two-hit performance while Mauricio Ramos tabbed his 16th double of the season and Frank Schwindel recorded his 12th double in the 7-1 loss.
Right-hander, Mark Peterson, tossed a perfect eighth inning and recorded a strike out in his appearance.
The Naturals and the Drillers conclude the four-game series tomorrow with Game 4 from ONEOK Field at 7:05 p.m. Right-hander, Yender Caramo (2-3, 2.58) will make the spot-start for Northwest Arkansas, his first start of the season, against right-hander, Tim Shibuya (1-5, 3.99) who will counter for the Drillers.
