Tulsa Drillers News Release
August 11, 2008 - Monday's scheduled game at Drillers Stadium between the Tulsa Drillers and Midland RockHounds was rained out.
The match-up was the last scheduled meeting in Tulsa between the two teams this season. The game will be made up as part of a doubleheader when the Drillers visit Midland August 16-18. The exact date will be announced later.
Tulsa's next game will be played Wednesday night in Frisco. The game will be the first in a three-game series between the Drillers and RoughRiders. First pitch is scheduled for 7:00PM.

Tulsa Drillers right-hander Brandon Hynick was named today the Texas League's Pitcher of the Week. He becomes the third Tulsa hurler, joining Ching-Lung Lo and Chaz Roe, to be honored by the TL this season for his weekly performance.
Hynick started two games for the Drillers during the week. Even though he did not receive a decision, he was outstanding in both outings. He allowed only 2 runs and 7 hits in 15 total innings pitched. He did not issue a walk while registering 11 strikeouts.
Corey Smith of Arkansas was named the Texas League's Hitter of the Week.
