
Naturals' Balanced Attack Sweeps Frisco

Springdale, AR- The Northwest Arkansas were able to brave the rain, as they used two three-run homeruns by Adam Donachie and Juan Richardson to sweep past the Frisco Roughriders 10-3 in front of a crowd of 4,401 at Arvest Ballpark Monday night. With the win, Northwest Arkansas has now won 19 of their last 21 home games and finished the home stand 5-1.
In the bottom of the second inning, Adam Donachie got the Naturals (32-18, 65-55) on the board hitting a 3-run shot, his fifth of the season. The Naturals added four more runs in the third as Juan Richardson hit the second 3-run shot of the night, a bomb that landed deep into the right field bullpen café. Mario Lisson capped of the inning with an RBI double. They added another run in the fourth, when Irving Falu knocked in Marc Maddox, who had doubled. The Naturals finished off the scoring fest adding two more in the seventh, when Lisson hit his second double of the night to knock in two runs.
On the hill for the Naturals' was Julio Pimentel (6-10) who picked up his second straight victory. He tossed six innings, giving up three runs on seven hits, while fanning four batters and allowing just one walk.
The RoughRiders (29-21, 72-48) managed to break the Naturals consecutive scoreless innings streak of 24 innings, when Adam Fox hit a two-run shot. They added one more run in the sixth, when Dustin Majewski doubled in a run.
On the mound for Frisco was Trey Hodges (8-8) who was making the start in place of Thomas Diamond. He went only three innings, yielding seven runs on six hits, while striking out two and walking two batters.
The Naturals will now hit the road and head to Texas for a six game road trip. They will begin with a three-game series with the Midland RockHounds beginning Wednesday night at 6:30 p.m. and finish off with a weekend series against these same Frisco RoughRiders.
