LAVIN STREAKING: Outfielder Peter Lavin has been one of the hottest hitters in the Texas League, and will carry an 8-game hitting streak into the homestand. During the streak, he is batting .387 with 7 extra-base hits. In his past 39 games, Lavin is hitting .317 and has raised his season average by .78 points
AGAINST THE TRAVELERS:
Tulsa has won only 5 of 15 games against Arkansas this season. The Drillers are only 2-5 at ONEOK Field versus the Travelers.
PROVIDING RELIEF:
Three different Drillers' relief pitchers have yet to allow a run during the month of July. Neither Ramon Benjamin (3 G/3.1 IP), Ryan Dennick (5 G/4.2 IP) nor Jorge De Leon (4 G/5.2 IP) have been scored upon during July.
QUICK STARTING TORREYES:
Ronald Torreyes twice accomplished a rare feat on the just-completed road trip. Torreyes hit home runs on the very first pitch of two different games. He first did it on July 8 in Corpus Christi, and then repeated the feat in San Antonio on July 13.
DRILLERS ON TV: The game on Saturday, July 18 will be televised live on KTUL Digital Channel 8.3 and Cox Channel 131.
