FRISCO, TEXAS (JULY 14, 2015) - The Frisco RoughRiders return to Dr Pepper Ballpark for a four-game home stand against the Corpus Christi Hooks (Houston Astros) starting Wednesday, July 15 and continuing through Saturday, July 18. The Riders will host four straight days of fun, affordable family entertainment, unique ballpark promotions, tasty food and beverage options, and the future stars of the Texas Rangers in action. All four contests will start at 7:05 p.m.
Highlighting the four-game home stand, on Friday, July 17, the first 2,000 fans will take home a free RoughRiders Jersey Pillow giveaway and enjoy a spectacular post-game fireworks show. Additionally, on Saturday, July 18, to commemorate the 30th anniversary of Back to the Future's release, Marty McFly, Doc Brown & the famous DeLorean will all make special appearances at Dr Pepper Ballpark.
Below is the day-by-day rundown of the promotional activities for the July 15-18 home stand.
WEDNESDAY, JULY 15 (7:05 p.m. vs. Corpus Christi)
- Weiner Wednesday- Fans can enjoy $1 hot dogs all game long!
- Kids Run the Bases following the game
THURSDAY, JULY 16 (7:05 p.m. vs. Corpus Christi)
- Thirsty Thursday - Fans 21-and-over can enjoy $1 domestic and $2 import draft beers from 6-8 p.m. Dr Pepper fountain sodas are also offered for just $1
- Dr Pepper 4 for 44 Night - This special package includes 4 tickets, 4 hot dogs and 4 Dr Peppers for only $44.
- "Groovy Grubesday" - DFW social media legend Michael Gruber (a.k.a. Grubes) will serve as the night's "Ambassador of Fun" and his legion of over 30,000 Twitter followers will receive special incentives and experiences during Thursday home games
- Former "Biggest Loser" contestant Gina Haddon will throw out the ceremonial first pitch and meet with fans
- Kids Run the Bases following the game
FRIDAY, JULY 17 (7:05 p.m. vs. Corpus Christi)
- RoughRiders Jersey Pillow giveaway- The first 2,000 fans will take home a special RoughRiders Jersey Pillow, depicting the new cream jersey with Riders written in scorched red across the front, a Texas Navy number patch and the iconic Swinging Teddy logo on the shoulder.
- Post-Game Fireworks Show
SATURDAY, JULY 18 (7:05 p.m. vs. Corpus Christi)
- Back to the Future Night- To commemorate the 30th anniversary of the epic film's release, Marty McFly, Doc Brown & the famous DeLorean will all make special appearances at Dr Pepper Ballpark. Provided there is no disruption to the space-time continuum, Marty will throw out the ceremonial first pitch, and fans can snap pictures of their 1.21 gigawatt smiles with McFly, the Doc and the time machine at a meet-and-greet.
- Saturday Night Post-Game Party - Fans are invited to stay after the game for live, local music and drink specials at the Bull Moose Saloon
