Dream to Host "Kids Day" on July 22

Atlanta, July 16, 2008-The Atlanta Dream will host "Kids Day" at Philips Arena on Tuesday, July 22, 2008 during the game against the Sacramento Monarchs. Tip-off is scheduled for 11 a.m. All tickets are just $10 for this game only.

Fans should make sure to stop by the Dream Fan Zone, located on the concourse, prior to the game. In honor of rookie Tamera Young and her trademark pigtails, the Dream will have a "Pigtail Power" table stationed on the concourse. Fans can stop by the table to create their own twist on Tamera's signature look. Goody's hair ties will be provided, courtesy of the Touchdown Club of Atlanta and the Gwinnett Sports Council. All ages are welcome and one lucky fan with the most spirit and style will win a $50 gift card courtesy of Best Buy!

The Fan Zone will also include kids' favorites such as balloon artists, face painters, and a temporary tattoo station. Members of the Shooting Stars cheer team and Star, the Dream's lovable mascot, will be on hand and a DJ will be playing kids-themed music on the concourse prior to the game.

The Dream tipped off their inaugural season at Philips Arena with back-to-back sellouts on May 23 and May 25, 2008. The team was officially announced as the 14th team in the WNBA on October 17, 2007. The Dream are members of the WNBA's Eastern conference which also includes the Chicago Sky, Connecticut Sun, Detroit Shock, Indiana Fever, New York Liberty and Washington Mystics.
