Hammon, Young, Wauters and Riley Visit Nike Factory Store in San Marcos

SAN ANTONIO, Texas - Four of the San Antonio Silver Stars biggest stars, Becky Hammon, Sophia Young, Ruth Riley and Ann Wauters, will be at the Nike Factory Store (3939 Interstate 35 N) in San Marcos at 4 p.m. Friday, July 18 to meet fans, sign autographs and take pictures.

The event will begin with an introduction and background info for each of the players, followed by a question and answer session and autographs for the children in the audience.

The Silver Stars are in first place in the Western Conference and have the best record in the WNBA. Young, Hammon and Wauters all rank among the league's top 20 in scoring. Young and Hammon both have earned Western Conference Player of the Week honors with Hammon currently holding the honor after setting the franchise record for free throws made in a game with 14 and joining the elite 3,000 point, 800 assist club in recent weeks. One of the most popular players in the WNBA, Hammon's has the second best-selling jersey in the league. Meanwhile, Riley is among the league's most decorated players having won a national championship at Notre Dame (she was MVP of their title run), two WNBA championships (2003 and 2006 in Detroit) and an Olympic Gold Medal (2004 Athens).
