HOUSTON (July 16, 2008) - The Houston Comets have re-signed Roneeka Hodges for the remainder of the 2008 season. Per team policy, details of the contract were not disclosed.
Hodges, a 5-11 guard from Florida State, was signed to a seven-day contract on July 5, 2008. In three games, she averaged 4.0 points, 1.0 rebounds and 1.0 assists.
Hodges was lost by Houston in the WNBA Expansion Draft to the league's newest franchise, the Atlanta Dream, on February 6, and then became part of a trade to the Seattle Storm in exchange for Iziane Castro Marques and other considerations. She was selected by the Houston Comets in the second round (No. 15 overall) in the 2005 WNBA Draft.
