Monarchs vs Comets Game Moved to TSU's Strahan Coliseum

HOUSTON (September 13, 2008) - In consideration of the effects of Hurricane Ike on parts of the Gulf Coast region, the Houston Comets game against the Sacramento Monarchs postponed from Friday, September 12 to Monday, September 15 will move to Texas State University's Strahan Coliseum in San Marcos, TX. Tip-off is 7 p.m. and doors will open at 6 p.m.

Fans in possession of a ticket for the September 12 game will receive admission to the September 15 game at Strahan Coliseum. All season, partial plan, group or individual game ticket holders unable to attend the game will receive a credit for a Houston Comets game during the 2009 season.

Tickets for the rescheduled match are $10 for the general public and will go on sale September 15 at the Texas State Athletics Ticket Office located at the corner of Aquarena Springs Drive and Charles Austin Drive on the TSU campus. Special $5 tickets will be available to TSU's students and Bobcat Club members who present a current identification card, and San Antonio Silver Stars season ticket holders who present a ticket stub from the September 13 game vs. Sacramento at the ticket office.

Strahan Coliseum, an $8.8 million, 7,200-seat facility was completed for use in 1982 for both Texas State University's men's and women's basketball teams, as well as the volleyball team.
