Dayton Dragons News Release

Dayton, Ohio-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster moves today:

Right-handed pitcher Daniel Tuttle has been placed on the disabled list.

Right-handed pitcher Lucas O'Rear has been promoted to Dayton from the Cincinnati Reds extended spring training camp in Goodyear, Arizona.

A new roster is attached.

Tuttle suffered a strained right calf in last night's Dragons loss to Lansing. Tuttle has made five starts for the Dragons this season, going 1-2 with a 5.40 earned run average.

O'Rear, 6'7, 266 lbs., played college basketball at the University of Northern Iowa and was the sixth man on their "Sweet 16" team in the 2010 NCAA Basketball tournament. Northern Iowa upset # 1 seed Kansas to advance to the Sweet 16 that season before losing to Michigan State. O'Rear was drafted by the Reds in the 13th round in 2010 despite the fact that he did not play that spring after Northern Iowa had dropped their baseball program following the 2009 season. O'Rear has played parts of two seasons in the Reds organization since being drafted.

The Dragons host the Lansing Lugnuts today at 2:00 p.m. (Radio: WONE 980 AM). They also host the Lugnuts on Monday and Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. For information on lawn tickets and group seating options, call (937) 228-2287.
