Dragons Announce Summer Specials for Remaining 2022 Home Games

July 13, 2022 - Midwest League (MWL)
Dayton Dragons News Release

DAYTON, OHIO - The Dayton Dragons announced a series of savings-related and fan-friendly promotions for the remaining 21 home games of the 2022 season. The season continues until September 4 at Day Air Ballpark, in the heart of the Water Street District.

Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday games (August 2-4, August 9-11, and August 30-September 1 - Start Time: 7:00pm). To help combat the rising prices of everyday goods and services that residents of the Miami Valley have endured this Summer; the Dayton Dragons have announced unprecedented "Summer Savings Days" at Day Air Ballpark. These days will feature deals and specials that have never before seen at a Dayton Dragons game. Every Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday will feature:

$5 Lawn Tickets

$2 Fountain Sodas

10% discount off every purchase in the Dragons Den Team Store.

This special pricing reflects a 50% savings on Lawn Ticket pricing, and a 55% savings on a 24oz Fountain Soda. These savings will be honored at all nine remaining Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday home games.

Friday games (July 22; August 5; August 12; Sept. 2). For each of the final four Friday home games starting July 22 through the rest of the season, the Dayton Dragons will be handing out free collectable posters to fans at Day Air Ballpark in the heart of the Water Street District, presented by Drone Express. This collectable poster series celebrates the "Gem City" by featuring Dayton Dragons players at various Dayton landmarks sporting the new "Gem City" jerseys! "We are excited to celebrate not only the Dayton Dragons, but the history of Dayton and these historic landmarks that are near and dear to the Gem City" said Anne Felts, Associate Vice President of Marketing for Drone Express.

In addition to the poster giveaway, the Frisch's Fun Zone will be open these four Fridays for FREE! This includes a voucher for a free Frisch's Mini Meal while supplies last. The Frisch's Fun Zone is located directly behind the batter's eye in Centerfield, children can enjoy games, inflatables, prizes, and more. This space is typically open on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays during the season and usually costs $10 for a punch card to play in the space. Frisch's Vice President of Marketing Jordin Nabi says, "As a restaurant with family memories at our core, we are looking forward to helping even more families enjoy the Frisch's Fun Zone on Friday nights by making this area free for all who want to take part!"

Saturday games (July 23, August 6, August 13 & September 3 - Start Time: 7:00pm). The Dragons will also expand their popular postgame fireworks shows presented by Associated Builders and Contractors. At the conclusion of every Saturday night home game in July, August, and September the lights of Day Air Ballpark will dim, the countdown will commence, and fireworks will light up the downtown sky. Fans in attendance will be able to watch the show from the stadium seating bowl, as fireworks will light up the sky over centerfield.

"We're all very excited to expand the fireworks nights so more families can enjoy these spectacular shows," said John Morris, President of Associated Builders and Contractors. "There's just something special about a great night out with your family and friends, ending with a firework show at the ballpark under the stars"

Sunday games (July 24; August 7, August 14, Sept. 4-all Sunday games at 1:05 p.m.). All Sunday games in the "Dog Days of Summer" will feature $1 Hot Dogs, Team Zoom Frisbee Dog performances, FREE Freeze Pops for children, and Kids Run The Bases after the game, presented by Graeter's Ice Cream. $1 Hot Dogs will be available at all concession stands that regularly sell Hot Dogs and will save fans 78% off normal Hot Dog prices. All children will receive a complimentary Freeze Pop upon entry, and multiple inning breaks will feature the fan-favorite Team Zoom Frisbee Dogs. Immediately following the game, children will get the opportunity to run the bases of Day Air Ballpark to cap off their visit.

"We realize the rising prices of everything from food to gas, to entertainment affects every single family here in the Dayton area," said Dayton Dragons Team President Robert Murphy. "It is important to us that the Dragons continues to be their escape from everyday life. When you walk through the gates of Day Air Ballpark, we want to make sure it is an experience you will not soon forget, at a price any family can afford."
