Dragons Announce Additional Roster Changes

DAYTON, OHIO-The Dayton Dragons announced the following roster transactions today:

Left-handed pitcher Nick Routt has been placed on the disabled list with a lower back strain.

Right-handed pitcher Luke Moran has been promoted to Dayton from extended spring training and will start the game tonight vs. Bowling Green.

The Dragons roster remains at the Midwest League limit of 25 players.

Moran will make his Midwest League debut tonight. He has spent the first two months of the 2014 season in the Reds extended spring training program. Moran was the Reds 12th round draft pick in 2012 out of Grayson County College in Denison, Texas. He is a native of Houston. Moran spent all of 2013 with the Billings Mustangs in the Pioneer League, going 4-6 with a 4.74 ERA in 15 starts.

Other transactions in recent days by the Dragons:

June 3: Outfielder/infielder Sean Buckley placed on disabled list. Infielder Tanner Rahier activated from disabled list.

June 4: Pitcher Tony Amezcua assigned to the Billings roster. Pitcher Layne Somsen sent to Dayton from Bakersfield.

June 8: Pitcher Pedro Diaz placed on disabled list. Pitcher Tony Amezcua promoted to Dayton from Billings.

June 11: Pitcher Nick Travieso assigned to Billings. Pitcher Franderlyn Romero promoted to Dayton from extended spring training.
