Dragons Add Right-Handed Pitcher Tyler Rhoden

Dayton, OH - The Dayton Dragons have announced that right-handed pitcher Tyler Rhoden has been promoted to Dayton from the Cincinnati Reds extended spring training camp in Sarasota, Florida. To make room for Rhoden on the roster, left-handed pitcher Andrew Bowman has been assigned to extended spring training from Dayton.

Rhoden was selected in the 22nd round of the 2007 First-Year Player Draft by the Cincinnati Reds from Vanderbilt University. The right-hander made his professional debut with Billings in 2007, compiling a 2-0 record with a 4.50 ERA in seven appearances (one start).

Bowman has appeared in just two games for the Dragons in 2008. He had pitched just 3.2 innings for Dayton, with a 0-1 record and a 2.45 ERA.
