
Downing Recalled to B-Sens

The Elmira Jackals announced on Tuesday that forward Jack Downing has been recalled by their AHL affiliate, the Binghamton Senators.
Downing, a rookie, scored a career-high two goals, including his first game winner, in Elmira's 3-1 victory over the Trenton Titans on Sunday at First Arena. The New Canaan, Conn. native is tied for second on the Jackals with 11 goals and is seventh with 18 points in 24 games this season. With the B-Sens in 2011-2012, Downing has one assist in 14 games.
Prior to playing professionally, Downing skated four seasons at the University of Vermont (NCAA, D-I), compiling 35 goals and 28 assists for 63 points in 144 games from 2006-2010.
