Toronto Argonauts News Release

Toronto - The Argos are looking to expand their hold on first place in the East Division as they face the Ottawa Renegades on Wednesday night at Rogers Centre at 7:30 p.m. The Renegades have never won a game at Rogers Centre and no Ottawa-based football team has won in Toronto since September 18, 1994. The Boatmen are not about to give up this streak as they invite fans to a special Guys Night Out.

The Argos welcome Toronto Maple Leaf Tie Domi and President of General Motors Canada Michael Grimaldi to the game. The duo will handle kick off duties. As well, players from the Toronto Rock will toss T-shirts into the crowd throughout the game, using their lacrosse sticks. Other Guys Night Out highlights include the "If Blue scores, you score" promotion where select fans will receive a gift pack from Schick every time the Argos put point on the board. Half-time will feature our Blue Thunder cheerleaders who will ride a stretch Hummer onto the field. As well, fans will participate in a relay race to win a trip for two to Mexico, courtesy of the Mexico Tourism Board.

Before the game, fans can enjoy outdoor entertainment surrounding Rogers Centre. Gate 11 will showcase the High Strung Acro Dancers performing 15 feet above the ground. The precision jump rope squad, the Brampton Acro-Ropers, will be at Gate 2 while bucket drummer Graham Kirkland will perform at Gate 9 and the band Summer Hero will be at Gate 5. The official pre-game party, featuring a visit from the Blue Thunder cheerleaders, will take place at Jack Astor's, 144 Front St. W.

Following the game, the festivities continue as the Argonauts will See You On The Field. As well, fans can help celebrate Argo linebacker Kevin Eiben's 26th birthday and cornerback Adrion "Pee Wee" Smith's 34th birthday at the official Steelback Post Game Party at Forget About It, 325 King Street West, immediately following the game.

The 2004 Grey Cup Champion Toronto Argonauts are North America's oldest professional football club, having celebrated their 130th anniversary in 2003.
