Lincoln Saltdogs News Release

LINCOLN, Nebraska - Cody Regis had Lincoln's first multi-homer game of the year, and the Saltdogs scored nine unanswered runs in a 9-4, series-clinching win over the Texas AirHogs at Haymarket Park on Sunday evening.

Regis clubbed a three-run homer as part of a five-run 5th inning that gave the 'Dogs the lead for good after Randolph Oduber tied the game at four with a two-run single.

Trailing 4-0 after three innings, Curt Smith led off the 4th inning with a solo homer and Regis followed him up with a back-to-back shot off of the videoboard in right-center field.

Christian Ibarra tacked on two more with his third homer of the year in the 6th, and the 'Dogs scored all nine runs in the 4th, 5th and 6th innings after scoring just eight total in the three games prior.

Jake Hohensee earned his first win of the year after pitching three scoreless frames through the middle innings. Tyson Cronin gave up four runs in three innings, including Jonathan Moroney's three-run homer that opened the scoring in the 1st.

Lincoln's four homers are a team-best this season, and Regis now has five homers and 21 RBI - both lead the 'Dogs.

Austin Boyle pitched two scoreless innings before Evan Korson worked around a single with two strikeouts in the 9th.

The 'Dogs now hit the road for seven games beginning with a four-game set in Sioux City. First pitch time on Monday is scheduled for 7:12 p.m., and pregame coverage will begin at 6:40 p.m. on ESPN Lincoln 101.5 FM/1480 AM.

The Saltdogs are playing their 19th season in Lincoln. All ticket and promo information can be found at saltdogs.com, and follow the 'Dogs on Twitter/Instagram @saltdogsball.
