Saint John Sea Dogs News Release
SAINT JOHN, NB --- It was a tough night for the Saint John Sea Dogs, as they traveled to take on the Acadie-Bathurst Titan Friday without 12 veterans who are away at NHL camps.
The Titan scored early and often on the way to an 8-1 win over a Sea Dogs lineup with five affiliate players, six other rookies, and just three players with more than 70 games of Quebec Major Junior Hockey League experience.
Brock Morrison's first career QMJHL goal was the lone highlight for the Dogs. Sebastien Auger made 19 saves in the loss.
Zach O'Brien had three goals and an assist, while linemates Matthew Bissonnette (goal, four assists) and Sebastien Trudeau (goal, three assists) helped contribute to the damage. Marc-Olivier Mimar, Ludovic Kabambi and Alec Jon Banville had the other Bathurst goal. Robert Steeves made 22 saves for the win.

O'Brien scored at 2:37 and 5:58 of the first to give the Titan a 2-0 lead heading into the first intermission.
Morrison drew the Sea Dogs back within one just 55 seconds into the second, tallying his first ever QMJHL goal on a power play. Spencer MacDonald picked up the lone assist. But Mimar squeezed one between Auger's right leg and the post at 5:48, then Kabambit made it 4-1 just 12 seconds later.
From there it was all Bathurst, with Trudeau and O'Brien striking at 8:09 and 19:20 of the second period, and Bissonnette and Banville rounding out the summary at 10:52 and 11:16 of the third.
Saint John's next game is also on the road, Friday at 7 p.m. against the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles. Tim Roszell will have the call on News 88.9 FM.
