Salt Lake Bees News Release

Three Oklahoma City Dodger pitchers combined to allow just four hits and a single run as the Dodgers prevailed 6-1 over the Salt Lake Bees on Friday night. The loss snapped a three-game winning streak for Salt Lake against the first-half champions.

Michael Busch hit a two-run homer for the Dodgers in the top of the first inning and that was all the visitors needed as starter Landon Knack turned in seven innings of one-run baseball. The Bees best chance at a rally came down 6-0 in the bottom of the seventh as the team loaded the bases with just one out but only mustered an RBI ground out during the rally.

Carson Fulmer took the loss for the Bees, his first, allowing four runs over four innings of work. Cesar Valdez contributed five innings of relief allowing a pair of runs. Trey Cabbage had two of the Bees four hits and stole his 30th base of the season to lead the Bees offensive attack. Cabbage is now just three home runs shy of becoming only the sixth player in Pacific Coast League history and the first Bee to have a 30-30 season.

The Bees and Dodgers will meet again on Saturday night with postgame fireworks scheduled following the game.
