FOND DU LAC, WI - The Lakeshore Chinooks scored 11 unanswered runs to defeat the Fond du Lac Dock Spiders 11-3 on Saturday night at Herr-Baker Field. The loss snapped a seven-game win streak for the Dock Spiders, their longest since 2020.

The Dock Spiders left 13 runners on base for the second night in a row, and they left the bases loaded in the second and ninth inning. They fall to 3-1 in the second half and 22-16 overall, tied for first in the Great Lakes West Division with the Wisconsin Rapids Rafters and the Chinooks, who improved to 3-1 in the half and 21-19 overall.

On the mound, Dock Spiders starter David Hagaman (West Virginia) tied his career-high with eight strikeouts over five innings of work. Branden Comia (Illinois) became the first Dock Spiders player this year to tally three doubles in a game in a 3-4 night.

Alex Vera (2-1, Illinois) took the loss for the Dock Spiders while Jackson Reid (2-0, Lenoir-Rhyne) picked up the win for the Chinooks.

The Dock Spiders took an early 3-0 lead after an inning when Kemp Alderman (Ole Miss) singled home a run before Comia drove in two for his first double of the game. The RBI was Alderman's first as a Dock Spider after 45 this year with Ole Miss.

The Chinooks mounted the comeback charge in the fifth with back-to-back doubles to bring home their first run of the night. They would tally another in the sixth off a double play before they exploded for eight in the seventh. They brought home the eight runs on two hits, two walks, a hit batter and two Dock Spiders errors. In the ninth, the Chinooks would tally their final run off a solo home run from Joey Spence (Notre Dame).

The Dock Spiders continue their home stand tomorrow against the Rafters with a doubleheader. First pitch in game one is scheduled for 1:05 p.m., with both games scheduled to go seven innings. Game two is slated to start 30 minutes after the conclusion of game one. The doubleheader was scheduled to make up the rainout between the two teams on June 15.

Tomorrow's doubleheader is ACW Wrestling Day at the ballpark with an appearance by WWE Superstar Hornswoggle, meet and greet opportunities, and wrestling matches before and between games.
