Carolina Cobras News Release
Greensboro, NC - The Carolina Cobras announce the signing of DL JT Surratt.
JT Surratt (6' 2" 290, South Carolina) was a star at USC on the line right next to NFL star Jadeveon Clowney, where, as a two year starter he finished with 79 tackles, including 11 for loss as well as two sacks. He had an invite to the NFL combine in 2015 but did not sign. He went to the Arizona Rattlers before signing with the Columbus Lions for 2019. In eight games for the Lions he came up with six tackles including three for loss and three sacks.
When asked about coming to Carolina Surratt had a simple message "I came for one reason and one reason only, and that's a championship"
Coach Resignalo had a bit more to say "JT is a dominate DL and the NAL knows his name. He was a solid DL for the Lions and Cobra Nation is going to love this guy. A Winston Salem product coming back to play at home is a blessing. The community and the fans are going to get a treat on game days as JT will be an instant fan favorite. Not to mention he's played some great College Football, JT is ready to cause NAL o-lineman fits and be a top defensive player in the NAL."
