
Dilorenzo named Oakley CHL Goalie of the Week

SOUTHAVEN --- The Central Hockey League announced today (Monday) that Memphis RiverKings rookie goalie Michael Dilorenzo has been named the Oakley CHL Goalie of the Week for his performance in the nets over the weekend. Dilorenzo helped the RiverKings to two wins as he put together three outstanding performances.
The Waterford, NY native played a total of 151 minutes in the three games; stopping 78 of 80 shots for a goals against average of 0.79 and a save percentage of .975. He played the final 32 minutes of Friday's come back win over the Tulsa Oilers. His 15 saves kept the Oilers off the board and allowed his team to rally in the third period. In Saturday's game at Bossier-Shreveport, Dilorenzo stopped 25 of 26 shots in a tough-luck 1-0 loss to the Mudbugs and he made 38 saves as the RiverKings wrapped up the weekend with a 5-1 win over Rio Grande Valley on Sunday.
In 10 games since coming to Memphis in a trade with Oklahoma City on December 6, Dilorenzo is 3-2-0 with a 2.08 GAA and a .930 save percentage.
The Riverkings won two of three over the weekend and now play seven straight on the road starting with a game at Tulsa on Friday at 7:35.

The weekly award for Dilorenzo, the two weekend wins and the upcoming road trip will be some of the topics that will be discussed.
