Oakley CHL Player & Goaltender of the Week Announced

Tulsa left winger Jaroslav Cesky and Memphis netminder Michael Dilorenzo have today been selected as the recipients of the Oakley Central Hockey League Player and Goaltender of the Week awards for Week 14 of the CHL season. Cesky netted multiple points in each of three games for Tulsa to earn Oakley Player of the Week honors, while Dilorenzo allowed just two goals against in 151 minutes of action for Memphis to earn selection as the Oakley CHL Goaltender of the Week.

Cesky began his week with a one goal, two assist performance in a 5-4 loss in Memphis Friday evening, then added assists on both Oilers goals the following night in a 5-2 loss in Oklahoma City. He finished his week with his third straight multiple point outing (and 12th of the season), scoring and setting up a pair of power play goals in a 6-2 home ice win over Oklahoma City on Sunday. Cesky's outstanding week gives him a team leading 43 points, surpassing his career high total of 42 set last season.

Dilorenzo began his week with a relief effort on Friday night, making 15 saves and playing 32:22 scoreless minutes to allow the RiverKings to erase a 4-3 deficit and win 5-4 over visiting Tulsa. The following evening he turned aside 25 of 26 shots, suffering a 1-0 loss in Bossier-Shreveport. On Sunday he continued his outstanding play, making 38 stops and allowing just a power play goal in a 5-1 home win over Rio Grande Valley. In his 10 games played with Memphis this season, Dilorenzo has compiled an exceptional 2.08 goals against average.
