Dillas And Colts Swap Players

AMARILLO, TX - The Amarillo Dillas announced today a two-player trade with the San Angelo Colts following last night's game. The Dillas acquired left-handed starting pitcher Brantley Jordan while the Colts acquired outfielder Brett Donahoo.

The 6'0," 190 pound native of Austin, Texas is in his fifth professional season. Jordan was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals in the 29th round (375th overall) in the 2003 amateur entry draft. He was acquired by San Angelo before the 2006 season where he went 6-4 with a 3.92 ERA in 2006 with 15 saves as the Colts closer. This season, he moved into the starting rotation with a 4.31 ERA despite a 1-8 record for the Colts.

Donahoo will join the Colts roster as they will take on the Alexandria Aces back in San Angelo on Monday. Donahoo had a .283 batting average with seven homeruns, 54 RBI and led the Dillas with 49 walks. In his last at bat in the Amarillo roster, Donahoo hit a two-run homerun.

Jordan is expected to start in Monday's game against Rio Grande Valley. The Dillas welcome Jordan to the organization.

The Dillas, at 14-12 on the second-half of the season and 40-36 overall, will take on the first-half champion White Wings on Monday for the opening game of a four-game series at 7:05 pm with Dillas Pre-Game set to begin at 6:50 pm on 1010 AM The Canyon and online via AudioSportsOnline.com. Game time is tentative and is subject to blackout.

The Amarillo Dillas Baseball Club is a member of United League Baseball, an independent league of six professional baseball teams located in Texas and Louisiana. The United League is preparing for its second season this summer with teams located in Amarillo, Edinburg, Laredo, Harlingen, and San Angelo, Texas; and Alexandria, Louisiana. The ULB will play a 100-game schedule between May and August 2007.
