
Diego Goris Joins Chukars

Idaho Falls Chukars News Release
The Idaho Falls Chukars have added infielder Diego Goris to their roster effective immediately. The 21-year-old joins the Greybirds after hitting .423 for the AZL Royals.
Originally signed by the Pittsburgh Pirates in 2008 and acquired by the Royals in a trade in 2011, Goris led the AZL Royals this year with his .423 average while also slugging 6 doubles, 3 triples and 3 home runs while knocking in 19 RBI.
2012 marks the Dominican Republic native's first season state side, after playing four seasons in the Dominican Summer League. Goris lead the DSL Pirates in 2011 in at-bats (266), hits (93) and total bases (136), while tying for second on the squad with his .350 average.
With the addition of Goris, the Chukars have now added three players since Opening Daywhile losing seven. The current roster stands at 30 players.
