Dickson Named Pitcher of the Week

Boise Hawks right-hander Ian Dickson was honored today as Northwest League Pitcher of the Week, announced by Major League Baseball Advanced Media this afternoon.
The native of Northport, N.Y., went 2-0 over the last week, tossing 11 shutout innings, allowing just four hits, striking out eight. Dickson went six innings of one-hit ball in a victory last Tuesday over Yakima, then followed it up with five three-hit innings in a win last night over Tri-City.
The Hawks, tied for first-place in the NWL East Division, return to action tomorrow night, hosting Spokane at 7:15 p.m.
