Phoenix - Diana Taurasi suffered a bruised lower back after a fall in the third quarter of a 95-85 loss to the Washington Mystics on Sunday. She is currently listed as day-to-day and is a game-time decision tomorrow night against Atlanta.
Taurasi left the game with 3:22 remaining in the third period with the Mercury trailing 62-53 and did not return. She finished with a team-high 18 points in 22 minutes.
The Mercury takes on the Dream at 4 p.m. PT on Tuesday for the third and final game of a five-day east coast road trip. Phoenix currently stands at 5-9 on the season and is in third place in the Western Conference.
