
Diamonds Are a Girl's Best Friend on Ladies' Night at Cellucor Field

Bryan-College Station, TX (July 10, 2015) - On FANtastic Friday, July 10, the Brazos Valley Bombers hosted Ladies' Night at the ballpark, presented by Funky Cheveux. After the game, fans were able to dig the infield for a real diamond and winners were drawn for a blue topaz, thanks to Montelongo's Fine Jewelry.
On the field, the Bombers surged back in the late innings, but came up just short by a score of 7-6. On offense, centerfielder Matt Hilston who went 2-for-3 with two runs scored and a titanic two-run home run in the bottom of the 8th inning to pull the Bombers within one run. On the mound; Nick Jones, Darick Hall, Kenny Saenz, and Brandon Pennington combined for four innings of relief without allowing an earned run.
The Bombers record is now 22-6 overall and 4-2 in the second half. The Bombers four-game homestand will continue on July 11 against the Woodlands Strykers on Star Wars Night, with special Star Wars-themed jerseys sponsored by Urban Optics that will be auctioned off during the game. Saturday night will also be Kids Free Saturday, with free admission for children 13 and under thanks to Chicken Express.
