Jackson Generals News Release
Jackson, TN (June 9th)- The West Tenn Diamond Jaxx have made the following moves prior to the start of tonight's Southern League game between the West Tenn Diamond Jaxx and the Birmingham Barons.
The Diamond Jaxx have activated RHP Juan Mateo and C Jon-Mark Sprowl from the DL and have promoted Sprowl and RHP Thomas Atlee to Triple-A Iowa.
Atlee appeared in twenty-five games, all out of the bullpen. He was 2-3 with two saves and a 1.67 ERA. Sprowl hit .233 (7-30) with no homers and five RBI's in just nineteen games with the Diamond Jaxx. Mateo, who makes his tenth start of the season tonight, is 3-2 with a 2.14 ERA.
