El Paso Diablos News Release
EL PASO- One hundred lucky women will have the chance to walk out of Cohen Stadium with a 1 carat diamond from Samuel's Jewelers on Saturday June 30 at 7:05 pm.
The first 100 women ages 18 and over to register at the information booth will have the opportunity to walk onto the field and dig for a 1 carat diamond. The diamond will be hidden within the Diablos infield. Each contestant will be given a metal cup with which to dig. If the cup is broken at any point or if the contestant is found cheating with another object the contestant will be eliminated. The ladies can continue to dig until the diamond is found.
"There will only be two people who know where the Diamond is located," said General Manager Matt LaBranche. "It will be me and a representative from Samuels Jewelers."
Saturday's game is set to start at 7:05 pm as the Diablos take on the Fort Worth Cats. Gates will open at 6 pm. Please call the El Paso Diablos for more information at 755-2000.
