El Paso scored its lone run in the bottom of the seventh. Juan Figueroa loaded up the bases as he allowed a single, hit a batter, and had an error from his second baseman. Figueroa then walked in one run. However, Figueroa induced Jorge Alvarez into a ground out to end the contest.

Cory Walters (5-3) gets the win as threw six shut-out innings allowing just four base hits with no walks and seven strikeouts.

Garvis Romero (0-3) picks up the loss as he went the distance as he allowed five runs off of six hits with three walks and no strikeouts.

The Cats would tie things up in the top of the sixth. Trey Roberson and John Allen had key RBI-singles setting the score at 4-4.

The Diablos had a shot to win in the bottom of the seventh. With the bases loaded and one out pinch hitter Juan Camacho shot a flare into shallow center field. Allan Moye made the grab and fired a perfect strike to retire Evan Conley at the plate sending the game into extra innings.

El Paso had many chances but finally converted in the bottom of the tenth. Casey Clary stroked a one-out double to the right center field gap putting the winning run in scoring position. Joel Izquierdo then smacked a single into shallow left moving Clary to third base. Pitcher Dallas Strankman proved the hero in his second at-bat of the night as he chopped a ground ball up the middle which the second baseman Dallas Christison booted scoring Clary for the victory.

Justin Knoff threw five innings allowing two runs off of five hits with one walk and six strikeouts.

Dallas Strankman (1-0) gets his first victory as he tossed three scoreless innings allowing two hits with just one walk and one strikeout.
