HR: S-Tommy Bryant (4)
About 19 hours after throwing his final pitch of the game, Sports reliever Brandon Hudson picked up his first win of the season. Hudson pitched a hitless bottom of the eighth inning before the game was suspended due to electrical failure with Coastal Bend holding a 9-8 lead over Shreveport. The game was resumed at 5:05 Saturday with Tom Atlee taking the mound for the Aviators. Atlee promptly retired the first two Shreveport batters and was on his way to his ninth save of the season. But the Sports had something to say about that. After a single by 1B Tommy Bryant and an Atlee hit batsman, Sports 3B Malvin Falu hit a two-run double and give the Sports a 10-9 lead. Sports reliever Matt Clayman then pitched a perfect bottom of the ninth inning to seal the deal for Shreveport and give them their 22nd win of the season.

Four batters later, DH Bo Williams got the go-ahead RBI on a groundout to third base. Pelicans reliever Oscar Montero entered in the bottom of the ninth inning and put together a three-up-three-down inning that included two strikeouts to earn his first save of the season. The Canaries never trailed Saturday against St. Joe en route to their 30th win of the season. Sioux Falls took an early 1-0 lead in the top of the second inning, thanks in large part to two St. Joe errors, and never looked back. The Blacksnakes threatened to make a comeback in the bottom of the sixth inning, but trailing 2-0 could manage only one run to cut the Sioux Falls lead in half. The Canaries got the run back in the top of the seventh and added two more the following inning to make the final score 5-1. Starting Canaires pitcher Kevin Cheppenko pitched a solid seven innings, allowing one run on four hits with thre strikeouts.

Despite their best efforts on the base pads, the Saints couldn't beat Lincoln Saturday night. St. Paul base runners stole an American Association record eight bases but stranded 10 men on base to spell their demise in a 6-3 loss to Lincoln. The Saints started on the right foot, scoring the game's first run in the top of the first inning. But that was the only time St. Paul would lead in the game. The Saltdogs scored three runs in the bottom of the first inning, highlighted by a two-run double by 1B Brett Cooley, and led the rest of the way. Leading 4-3 in the bottom of the eighth inning, the Saltdogs picked up two insurance runs on run-scoring singles from 3B Jay Yaconetti and 2B Cody Lusero.
